The Magnetic Fields Coming To The State Theatre October 10th

The brilliant singer/songwriter Stephin Merritt and The Magnetic Fields are coming to Minneapolis, kicking off their U.S. tour by performing at the State Theatre on October 10th. Pre-sale tickets have already gone on sale this morning
(Row A, seats 7 &8!) via Music Today. Tickets are $29, with a modest (compared to TM) $4 per ticket service fee. General on sale dates for most shows begin on Friday, with the State Theatre general on-sale beginning at noon on Saturday the 19th. I have really enjoyed certain parts of their last two records, 'I' and 'Distortion,' while other songs haven't grabbed me as much. But they have a back catalogue that most bands would kill for, and live, Stephin Merritt can really bring depth and feeling to his songs that might be lacking on record. I can't wait for this one, it should be a wondrous night. Full tour dates:
